Welcome to our Church. Our mission is to:
Love God, Grow Together & Serve Others.
What We Believe
Our church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the “Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. The following is a summary of our beliefs.
God: There is one true God who is holy, infinite, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and eternal. The one God is in three Persons; the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Man: Man is created in the image of God; therefore, all men should be loved and respected. All men are created for the purpose of glorifying God. However, all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All are in need of God’s salvation through Jesus Christ. No man can save himself by any of his own works.
Salvation: Salvation is by God’s grace alone: it is a gift of God. God loves man and does not want any to perish. To save man God sent His Son into the world so that the world through Him might be saved. Jesus bore the sins of man so that man may be reconciled to God. Jesus died and on the third day rose again. Men
are saved through the repentance of sin and belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Scripture: The Holy Bible is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. The original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts are the inerrant and infallible perfect Word of God.
Baptism: Christian baptism is done through immersion of a person in water who has made a statement of belief in Jesus Christ. It is done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Church: The church is the body of Christ. It is the local body of believers as well as the universal body of believers in Christ in all ages. Active fellowship is commanded by God.
Obedience: The two greatest commands are to love God with all of one’s heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love one another. Fulfilling these two commands fulfills the Law.
How to Be Right With God.
1. Confess you are a sinner, in need of salvation. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23.
2. Believe that God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross, receiving the penalty that we deserve for our sins; that God raised Jesus from the dead. “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Cor. 15:3-4.
3. Repent of (turn from) your sins. “But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Luke 13:3.
4. Trust Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to make you into a new person. “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ.” Romans 3:22. “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life.” John 6:40.
Does the Bible Command Us to Be Active in Church?
Many people think that the Bible does not command us to do this, but in fact the Bible explicitly says the following:
1. ”Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25.
2. “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us.” 1 John 1:3.
3. “But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His son purifies us from all sin” 1 John 1:7. Fellowshipping with other believers is a necessary part of walking in the Light. Furthermore, the Bible states the importance of church in the following passage: Paul likens individuals as parts of a whole body. Each part is important and makes up the whole body. All the body parts must work together as the body of Christ. 1 Cor. 12:12-27.
